      <p>Welcome to the Corporate Delivery Team, here you will find information about an exciting and unique opportunity to be involved in a new team that will deliver and enable numerous high-profile schemes for the benefit of our residents and visitors.</p>



<p>The financial challenges facing local government are well documented, and those difficulties are no less acute for Rother District Council. However, despite these difficulties the Council has a highly ambitious £170m capital programme and is looking to deliver £126m of capital investment over the next 5 years.</p>



<p>The Council has been incredibly successful in accessing significant external grant programmes to help fund and deliver on our ambition. This currently totals around £74m, with officers working with partners and various funding agencies to further bolster some of the major investment schemes. The key funding streams at present are as follows;</p>

<li>Levelling Up Fund (LUF) – £19m</li>



<li>Levelling Up Partnership (LUP) – £18m</li>



<li>Homes England £17m</li>



<li>Long-term Plan for Towns – £20m over 10 years (£15m capital, £5m revenue)</li>

<p>There are nine significant schemes with a combined total budget of £119m. Approximately £20m has been spent in previous years, these schemes are:</p>

<li>Barnhorn Green GP surgery and industrial development (£12m)</li>



<li>Blackfriars Spine Road (£21m)</li>



<li>RDC Housing Company (£20m)</li>



<li>King Offa Housing and Leisure Centre (£10m) – further funding bids pending</li>



<li>Long-term Plan for Towns (£15m)</li>



<li>Housing Temporary Accommodation Phase 2 (£12m)</li>



<li>De La Warr Pavilion (£23m)</li>



<li>Sidley Community Hub (£3m)</li>



<li>Camber Sands Welcome Centre (£3m)</li>
</ul>



<p>For the Council to deliver a programme of this scale it requires a significant level of resource and focus to not only ensure that schemes are affordable and can deliver the anticipated outcomes for our communities but also to deliver at pace to drawdown the grant funding within the agreed timeframes.</p>



<p>That’s where you come in! The Council has agreed to bring together a new Corporate Development Team (CDT) to provide the resource and expertise that will be required to ensure this programme is a success and provides a legacy for the future of Rother.</p>



<p>The team will include a mix of current roles already within the organisation further supplemented by several new roles that are being advertised as part of this process.
